Jilin Zhou, Professor of School of Astronomy and Space Science, Nanjing University. He obtained his PhD degree of Astronomy in 1995 from Nanjing University, and became a staff member of Nanjing university since then. His research field is exoplanet detection and formation. He and his group proposed a mission concept of a space-based infrared observatory named “Multiple-spacecraft Exoplanet Aperture sYnthetic INterferometer” (MEAYIN), which aims to image Earth-like planets in the habitable zones of nearby stars. He is also the co-PI of the exoplanet searching satellite project ET, which is planned to be launched in 2028.
