Zi-Long Zhao

Zi-Long Zhao has been a full Professor in the Institute of Solid Mechanics at Beihang
University (China) since 2021. He received his doctoral degree from Tsinghua
University (China) in 2016. He is elected as an overseas high-level young talent of
China, an ARC DECRA (Australian Research Council Discovery Early Career
Researcher Award) Fellow, and a young top talent of Beihang University. He is an
expert of the Chinese Ministry of Education, the National Natural Science Foundation
of China, and the ARC. He is an editorial advisory board member of Engineering
Fracture Mechanics. His research interests include solid mechanics, biomechanics,
and structural topology optimization. By 2025, he has authored 2 book chapters and
published more than 50 research papers in internationally renowned SCI journals such
as Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids, Biophysical Journal, and
Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering. He is the General Chair
of the Third International Conference on Aerospace and Control Engineering
(ICoACE 2024).
